The days leading up to Christmas were filled with family activities
like the family picture with Santa, driving around looking at Christmas lights.
Once Solstice arrived, outward activities ground to a turtle's pace
and I found the quiet reflective time I was craving.

We found joy in connecting while staying in our Christmas
pajamas all day and playing board games
or snuggling up to each other on the couch while
watching our favorite holiday movies.

And in the silence, we've come to the final wishcasting
for this year and Jamie asks

What do you wish for the New Year?

I'm still in the process of dreaming 2012 into
being~thanks to the lovely Leonie and her extra beautiful
2012 Creating your Goddess Year Workbook and Calendar,
but this I know for sure

I wish to stand firm in the knowledge that everything is
truly happening in accordance with divine timing and that I
can choose how to move through it all because Goddess has already
given me the tools I need deep inside of me.

No matter what comes my way in this New Year, I wish to meet it all
with my heart wide open, ready to receive the
deep blessings, healings, and lessons from every moment.

As we bid 2011 farewell, I offer a blessing for us all

May we harvest the lessons this year taught us
with a grateful heart.

May we connect with the power of love and
dream a new year of peace and harmony
into existence

May we raise the vibration of the planet with
the depth of our love for ourselves, each other
and all beings.

Ashe'
Amen
And so it is

You are a being of infinite power, beauty and grace
just because of who you are right now.

Perhaps you've been looking for guidance, wishing for someone
to show you the way.  Perhaps you don't believe in yourself because
your inner critic is continually reminding you of
all the times you've done it wrong piling should after should all over you.

Perhaps you've experienced the deepest sadness of your life thus far
and can't seem to find your way out.

Whatever the part of your story being experienced now...you are
STILL a being of infinite power, beauty and grace.

Look in the mirror and be reminded of who you are..

_I grew up in Texas where the only seasons are Summer and not Summer.
When I was a kid watching the weather forecast on the news
and they'd talk about the remote possibility of snow, I got excited.
Kids always find the magic of snow.

It rarely happened but when it did snow, the whole town would
practically shut down. But it never stayed around longer than a
day or two tops.

Even now, every time I see snow, it's a magical experience.

My first honest to goodness 'White Christmas' happened when
I was living in Germany.  Woefully ill prepared, I layered my
daughter and myself with all the clothes I could find
and made our way to the wooded park area behind the military housing.
_I'll never forget the way the snow delicately balanced on the
naked tree branches, the icicles sparkle as the sun caught their gaze,
or the deer as surprised to see us as we were to
see him who stood and watched us looking at the snow.

No where else have a found the depth of silence the snow covered ground offered
Truly the only sound we heard was the crunch of our feet in the snow.

We returned to our home, welcoming the warmth and maintaining the comfortable
blanket of silence the Christmas snow had wrapped around all of us.
We made hot cocoa and snuggled together on the couch to look at our
Christmas tree lights drifting off to sleep.

Now we come to the Wishcasting before Christmas
where Jamie asks

What is your winter wish?

My winter wish is to find the comfortable silence once again
in the magical snow.

__"There is a privacy about it which no other season gives you.... In spring, summer and fall people sort of have an open season on each other; only in the winter, in the country, can you have longer, quiet stretches when you can savor belonging to yourself."
- Ruth Stout

Here we are at the third to the last wishcasting of the year.
I'm starting the process of saying goodbye to the old year
finishing up projects and making space to welcome in the new.

Jamie's question for us today, "What is your deepest wish?"
feels in alignment with every thing I'm doing in my new year
dreaming.

As I sat with today's question, a quote attributed to Confucius
came to me;  'I want you to be everything that's you, deep at the center of your being'
The more I let those words run through my brain the more true and good
they seemed to me.

I believe deep at the center of my being, this person called Dionne
is doing a dance with the divine, whom I call Goddess/God/All That Is.
And in that space is everything I was, everything I am and everything
I will be.

It's up to me to move my divine energy into the world.

And that truly is my deepest wish...to live my life from the divine spark
giving expression to everything that is me from the deep place at the center
of my being.

How can any of us feel we lack anything when
we have before us the stars,
the faces of those we meet,
the great sea, and so much more?

Our holiday gifts are everywhere present,
making each day holy in the original sense of something whole.

If we only have eyes to see...

Eyes full of gratitude – then each day our lives are
woven into one magnificently integrated piece or, to play with the word, one embracing peace.

_I am a few days away from what I hope will be a beloved tradition,
the 2nd annual Santa Lucia party on Saturday.  I spent all last week
and part of this week decorating.

My intention is to create a space where my friends and their families can
bask in seasonal joy so magic can happen.

I know I can't possible make that so for everyone but as I began to hear
from friends who came last year being super excited about coming this year
it has already been pretty dang magical!

So on this wishcasting day Jamie asks, What do you wish to celebrate

First, I'm wishing to completely celebrate my hubby not
being in Afghanistan or even just out of town!

He is well and truly home for the holidays as you may (or may not) know
a US military family is always on the move and someone is always deployed
for on thing or another, so him actually being home is completely worth celebrating
all by itself!  He's been trying to think up 'man stuff' to do at the party...super cute!

_Next, I wish to celebrate all the people planning to grace our home this year...twice as many as last year!

I've had to hire chairs and borrow tables!
No idea where everyone will sit but I get the
distinct feeling that it will all work out and be glorious
and precious!

And I wish to celebrate everyone's willingness to chip in.

Anything I've asked for someone has stepped up to say 'Yes'.
I'm so full of excitement, joy and gratitude that these are the people in my life.

There is so much more I could add to this list but I hear my son up and moving
and as part of our countdown to Christmas, he wishes to celebrate by making gingerbread cookies!

But before I go one more thing.

I wish the wonderful Jamie Ridler a very happy birthday!  Thank you so much for
birthing Wishcasting Wednesday and making this community possible!
Bless!

Gentle Spirit of Love as expressed by
Goddess/God/ All that Is

May I find a deep well of calm during stormy times

May I come to my center grounded in the unwavering belief that there is nothing to fear as long
as I put my trust in your divine mystery.

May I revel in walking the divine path that has been
created for me and endure challenges with grace and ease.

May I remember especially during times of duress that I am your instrument
and everything is in accordance with what is for my highest good.

Blessed Be.
