Define it as 'The quest to consistently use my internal will power to
choose something better for myself' more often that not, I did just that.
My word challenged me to see discipline in a more positive light.
Rather than looking at it as something that keeps me from doing the
things I enjoy, I was able to see it as an ultimate expression of loving myself.
Daily Goddess Oracle readings on twitter, maintaining a brand new blog,
and trusting my deepest inner wisdom on so many occasions it's hard to
count all came from self discipline.
My word taught me the value of honoring my personal cycles and rhythms and
led me to a renewed connection to my Goddesses.
Most importantly I discovered self discipline can be used in a gentle, affirming
way rather than only as punishment.
As I sit in this liminal space, getting acquainted with the word that has chosen me
for 2012, I want to express love and deep gratitude for Self Discipline.
I fully realize this was an introductory level of teaching I've been guided through.
I know self discipline will continue to offer lessons and wisdom about myself as I move through 2012 with a new word as my guide.
Though I release it as my focus, I choose to remain open to all that
'self-discipline' has to show me in the new year.
