I was super excited because this is something
I've wanted to do for YEARS but hadn't gotten around to.
I got an excellent deal for 4 for people (thanks Groupons)
to play with the apple cannon (apples stuffed into shoots with compressed air),
a hay ride around the orchard,
visit to the petting zoo plus a 1/2 peck of apples we picked ourselves!
The weather was picture perfect!
Crisp and cold Autumn temperatures
the smell of burning wood mingled with BBQ and sweetness
every thing you'd hope for a Fall festival atmosphere.
Our spirits soared as we enjoyed good company and revealed
in the glory of nature's beauty all around us.
Even with the huge amount of people
everyone seemed to be in a great mood.
From this vantage point you think all
you see are bare trees maybe a few
speaks of red:
But when you get up close
Right underneath you are
treated to this:
make a little bit of effort to find it.
In fact, as we got further off the
well trodden path,
we were all pretty gobsmacked
by the amount of apples clustered on
nearly every tree that others had
just over looked.
My friend (being just as enthralled as I was)
took a moment to be philosophical and said
It's right there, right now
just waiting to be acknowledged.
And once you do acknowledge it
it becomes so much easier to find
it again and again.
How much of your abundance is
waiting for you to make
a little bit of effort to see it?
Acknowledged the abundance around you
right now so you can exercise your sight
