So I'm getting a little break in my 'mom's taxi' time today
and I realize it's Wishcasting Wednesday! Hurrah!
Today Jamie asks, 'What do you wish for your health & wellness?'
Last year, I focused on using self discipline as a way to choose
something better for myself. This was especially helpful to me
when I was not 'in the mood' to exercise, because I was able
to shift the energy around that and see what was at the heart
Most often whatever I was doing for exercise had started to feel
like a time consuming chore rather than something fun and easy.
I found the same to be true about my eating habits and meditation
which for me are part of what I need for personal wellness.
As the holiday business set in I got away from most of my health
& wellness routines and I've still been struggling to get back to it.
So I wish to continue to use loving self discipline to find fun and
easy ways to honor my health and wellness needs.
During the full moon window my sleep sometimes
gets thrown off and this week, my daughter started
college. She doesn't drive so that's meant mom's taxi
to the rescue.
Hard to believe my baby is old enough
to be a college freshman. Hard to believe I'm old enough to be the mom of a college freshman!
Being off kilter all week has been no bueno.
Today Jamie comes to the rescue with the question
What do you wish to reclaim?
I wish to reclaim my ability to go with the
flow while adjusting to our new schedule.
I know it takes a little time to adjust
to new schedules but my inner critic
wants it all smoothed out now!
I've been able to take some home school
activities for my Lil Bear on the road but
I haven't been able to honor my work hours
this week which has frustrated me.
Being frustrated feels like I'm trying to force
things to happen rather than accepting what
is and finding a way to move with the flow.
Frustration doesn't work because it doesn't change anything
So I'm going to embrace going with
the flow and see where that takes me.
BTW...I've got a new program called The Way of Tea launching soon.
Please take a look and see if it's something that you may want to
Blues, white and a little metallic
She chose the colors and yarn
especially for me.
Hidden within these stitches is time
minutes or hours of her life she chose
to give to me.
A container of time and love made by
her own hands.
Her gift hangs around my neck
and reminds me of her warm hugs,
her soothing voice, her cheerful
Her gift reminds me of how grateful
I am to have her in my life.
When we experience trauma, arguments, sadness, or sickness or
even over-excitement there can be holes in the energy field (aura)
around our bodies that need to be filled. Like a slow leak in a tire,
these can leave us feeling deflated and depleted of energy and joy.
The same is true of any space we inhabit.
The life can be sucked out of all who spend time in the rooms.
Clearing the energy field, also known as smudging or space clearing,
acts as a patch that fills those holes with healing vibrations and thoughts
as you or the space renews itself.
For me it's like using a psychic vacuum to clean my aura and space.
_Clearing can be done with any element or a combination
of all the elements.
For air, you may ring a bell, clap, sing, or try simply opening a window to let fresh air in).
For water adding essential oil to a spray bottle and spritzing liberally around a room or adding several drops to your mop water.
For earth, you may experiment with placing crystals or sea salt & dried rose petals in different areas around the inside and outside of your home.
Any of these methods can be enhanced with the use of herbs.
Though other herbs can be used (such as lavender, juniper) white sage is most
commonly associated with this sacred task.
No matter what method you use to the most important thing
is intent; using your mind to focus on the desired outcome.
The more intent you use the better the psychic vacuum can
clean your aura/space.
And here we have the first wish of the year!
Jamie has asked a great question
What (or whom) do you wish to make peace with?
Food Glorious Food.
Our common universal
Everybody's got an opinion
so much so they often conflict.
As if one person choosing
not to eat what another person wants to makes someone wrong.
Our ancestors didn't all eat the same way
so why do we think we should all eat the same way?
No one way works best for all people.
I've tried different diets and none of them have
been sustainable over a long period for me.
I've been doing some research and I've decided
this year, I wish to make peace with food.
I want to find what gives me the most energy.
I'll test what I've learned on myself and see how
No diets or restrictions.
Just eating for the love and needs of my body temple
