The most important component of tea is water. Whatever qualities are in the water of course go into the tea itself. If the water is pure, and full of life, the tea will be all the more enjoyable but if the water is chlorinated, deoxygenated, and generally lifeless, the tea will be the same. So I bless the water I use for tea. It may just be that I am shifting my own energy to become in tune with the water but I can taste the difference between water I haven't infused and that which I have.
Dr. Masaru Emoto has asked for us to take the simple action of saying a prayer for the water in Japan and the world by saying a prayer over water where ever we are in the world. I feel this would be great even if you can only get to the water cooler for a quick drink during this time.
From his website:
"Now is the time to understand the true meaning. Let us all join the prayer ceremony as fellow citizens of the planet earth. I would like to ask all people, not just in Japan, but all around the world to please help us to find a way out the crisis of this planet!!
The prayer procedure is as follows.
Name of ceremony:
“Let’s send our thoughts of love and gratitude to all water in the nuclear plants in Fukushima”
Day and Time:
March 31st, 2011 (Thursday)
12:00 noon in each time zone
Please say the following phrase:
“The water of Fukushima Nuclear Plant,
we are sorry to make you suffer.
Please forgive us. We thank you, and we love you.”
Please say it aloud or in your mind. Repeat it three times as you put your hands together in a prayer position. Please offer your sincere prayer.
Thank you very much from my heart.
With love and gratitude,
Messenger of Water
So here we are at another beautiful Wishcasting Wednesday and Jamie has asked us
How do you wish to be brave?
When I was younger people always asked me if I was going to be a teacher like my mom and I rebelled against that for many years. I thought she was a great elementary school teacher and I didn't want to teach school because I didn't want to be compared to her. And yet as I moved through life and landed at different military posts, I often found myself in the position of teaching things that I had a passion for. But I still didn't consider myself a teacher because I always felt takes a lot of bravery to put yourself out there...more bravery than I had.
Yesterday I was thinking about how I am combining my love of woman's spirituality and tea and how I'm once again sharing what I have a passion for and it hit me...I am a teacher...I come from teachers....it's in my blood. But I don't have to live up to any self imposed standard by comparing myself to my mom....there's more than one way! So my wish is to be brave in letting go of this impossible to live up to standard as I discover my own way of teaching and sharing my gifts with the world.
Reading with one of my many hats
Hello Sweet Ones!
Enjoying my Thunder tea this morning I looked at my calendar and realized we're coming into our first wonderful Mercury Retrograde period of the year. Rather than look at this with fear and trepidation expecting all sort of breakdowns and rough times, I see this time as an opportunity to check how we are talking to ourselves and see what we are 'broadcasting' into the world. Additionally with everything that is happening globally and the myriad sources we can get global news from it is vitally important that we take the time to check what is being said to us and see how all of it is aligning with our personal values.
So today using the Gaian Tarot and my newly found tarot reading hat I asked the cards 'What do we need to be mindful of during the 3 weeks of Mercury in Retrograde?'
The card that came up is 16-Lightning, reversed (traditionally The Tower). At first glance this can be a scary card, we are creatures of habit and don't particularly like massive change as it causes us discomfort. But this card brings with it a huge blessing. Lightning illuminates while burning away limiting attitudes or circumstances which no longer serve our highest good. It reminds us we don't have to allow changes to make us bitter and hard. We can use change to find more courage and compassion to do what needs to be done. Lightning highly charges things and needs to be grounded so as not to cause harm.
So during this time, speak up for environmental causes that make your heart sing, clear the energy in your space with favorite space clearing techniques, create space in your life to connect with the Divine through prayer (speaking) and meditation (listening). Spend time finding out what self talk tapes are you playing in your head? Are you running messages that no longer serve you? Are you showing yourself the same love and compassion you show others? What can you do to improve your communication with the people in your world?
Taking personal inventory on these questions can be extremely insightful in helping you determine what is your 'stuff' and what is 'stuff' being fed to you. If you would like more personal empowerment for your Divine self, purchase a Goddess Empowerment Session with me. You'll receive tarot or oracle guidance for clarity and upliftment and my free gift to you will be a 5 minute affirmation meditation MP3 based upon your reading!
Hello my lovely ones! Time for another cup of tea with me!
I don't know what happened yesterday but I got up late and hit the ground running without my morning tea ritual! And instead of allowing myself that space, I pushed to move forward in a vain effort to try and 'catch up'. A Tea Priestess should know better right? Well instead of beating myself up with the 'shoulda, woulda, couldas', I chose to do a morning reboot. Just as you can reboot your computer you can reboot your day at any time.
Allow yourself 5-15 minutes for full reboot. Here are the steps:
First, get still. You could hop back into bed for 5-10 minutes, use the 5-10 minute 'Holy Dinger' meditation or you could use an online meditation timer if you have to be at your desk. During this time check in with your body giving it gratitude for all it's done for you and seeing what it needs to have a good day.
Next pull a card if you feel called to (Gaian Tarot is my current favorite), say a prayer or affirmations to yourself~you could even be bold and say "I love you" to yourself in the mirror!
Finally, bless yourself with a drink (any drink will do but I find this most effective with water, tea or coffee). Whisper words of love and gratitude into your drink (I'm a firm believer in Dr. Emoto's work). Drink up the love and gratitude and let it fill you up!
Then go have a great day!
So on those days when you feel like you've gotten up on the wrong side of the bed do a reboot and see what a difference a few minutes break can give you.
Welcome to my new site! I hope you can spare a moment to look around and take it all in!
Jamie has launched 'Sparkles' and so for Wishcasting Wednesday we have the question:
How do you wish to sparkle?
When I first looked at the question this morning I had no idea how to answer it. Then a few minutes ago I found out about the passing of Elizabeth Taylor, a woman who sparkled from her violet eyes to the diamonds she was so fond of wearing. Even as a woman of a 'certain age' she continued to sparkle. That's what I admired most about her. She continued to sparkle so brightly that age could not even hide it. And it came to me.
I wish to sparkle by living my life to the fullest. Wearing the 'good' jewelry and the 'good' perfume even if I'm just wandering around my home.
I wish to sparkle when I gather women together to learn about their divine feminine essence
I wish to sparkle when I speak up for myself and those in need
I wish to sparkle as much as I did on my ordination day as my daughter gave me a congratulations hug.
