Today I offer some of my favorite music and videos that have fed my spirit. Soul Food. I hope your spirit is fed by them as well. Before all the crap hit the fan, I had the pleasure of reconnecting with someone I had left behind in all my world travels. She did an internet search and found my website. I was so excited I had to make another video about it! Totally loving the creativity of making videos!
I completely and utterly big red heart my Precious iMac! Anyhoozy~I really want to make a difference which is why I started really sharing my gifts! Next week, I'll feature spotlights on my current offerings and I'll be sharing **NEW** offerings I am totally stoked about! Lately it seems that I find the most joyful food for thought in my garden. Maybe it has to do with my hands being busy to allow my mind to sort through things. Or maybe it's because the plants give off their own wisdom because Mama Nature is an excellent healer. Whatever it is, I made another video to remind me (and you) when I feel resistance about a situation to embrace what is. Embracing what is can be so incredibly freeing!
I can let go of my need for the situation to be other than it is. I can take an honest look at what the lessons are for me. And when I remember to do it, I have the key to unlocking the soul solution for me in a given circumstance. It frees me from being stuck in an unending cycle of negative emotions and allows me to see the blessing in any situation. And I get the opportunity to lean into Goddess and trust the process on a deeper level than I did before and experience the next level of growth. I love growth! Sometimes it's easier than others to embrace what is. But it is always worth the effort to do it over and over again. When something nourishes your soul, care enough about yourself to make room for it in your life27/7/2011
This morning I'm a little bleary eyed from my excitement about the late night return of my daughter from her foreign exchange trip to Japan. Her flight got in at midnight and we ended up talking until 4am. My husband will finally rejoin us this weekend. He returned from Afghanistan in April, but has been attached to the military all this time and only been home every other weekend. Finally my family is coming back together under one roof after more than a year and a half of separation. ![]() My family at Disney World, Florida, Jan. 2010 So here Jamie is with another Wishcasting Wednesday question that speaks to my heart What do you wish to nourish? Super easy peasy this week. I wish to nourish the roots of our connection as a family before we get back to the busyness of regular routines. I wish for us to be nourished with time out of time together to find our family rhythm again...like we do on our impromptu family vacations. And maybe Goddess will grant us time at the beach which always allows us the nourishment of slow time. This weekend I got some time to edit a bunch of new videos. I've released 3 into the world today and I'll be featuring each one with it's own blog post throughout the week. Today I share with you the ways I connect with nature. Think of this as a mini tea date in which you're with me and we're having a fresh from the oven blueberry muffins and a warm, soothing cup of tea in my garden. Nature journaling can be exceedingly simple, like stepping out of your home 5 minutes earlier than you have to leave for the day and taking in what is around you. Or you can make a regular weekly appointment to go to your favorite outdoor spot with your journal and pen or drawing supplies if you're feeling more creative.
You can draw what you are observing and/or answer a few questions: What does it look like right now? (use as many descriptive words as you can) What is the weather like right now? Are there any noticeable scents in the air? What sounds do you hear? How are you feeling? Does a day like today bring up any memories from the past? I hope you find more peace and joy in your life as you connect with nature. Bless you dear ones! |
