What comes to us as Groundhog's day, actually started out as Imbolc. The beginning of spring in the Northern Hemisphere and a time to look toward germinating seeds and planting the shoots in the ground....if the weather is right! Grab your cuppa tea and journal and let's connect to this Wheel of the Year point and see what wisdom unfolds. Hello Beauties! I know I said I was going to share my love for my planner this week but I wanted to share another book that has really been rocking my world within the last few days.... I highly recommend the Miracle Morning especially if you're wanting to make some serious positive changes in your life! And if you'd like to have support for your own 30 Day Miracle Morning Challenge, leave a comment below!
Talk to you next week! You can always find me with a few books I'm reading and a few more I'm listening to. Oh who am I kidding?! Combined I have 6-10 books going at a time! So I've decided to share some of the ones that I find myself reading, implementing and re-reading as my life shifts and changes! Recommended for you this time (in non affiliate links) are "The Path to Wealth: Seven Spiritual Steps to Financial Abundance" by May McCarthy and "Circle of Stones: Woman's Journey to Herself" by Judith Duerk
And I would love to hear from you! What books do you find yourself reading, re-reading and recommending? As I continue to work with my 100 People Project a couple of questions have come up which I hope to be able to answer sufficently in several blog posts. The first is 'why should I develop a relationship with the elements?" an excellent question to be sure. On the surface, the first reason for developing a relationship with the elements is the same as why you would want to develop a relationship with anybody; you've traveled in the same circles and you want to get to know that person better. The elements are always with you traveling in the same circles as you do so why not get to know them better? But as I sat down and journaled with what a difference having a working relationship with the elements has made for me I came up 3 more reasons I'd like to share with you today. 1. Elemental wisdom is easily accessible.
There is no learning curve with the elements. All that is required is the desire to make a conscious connection with them. Just ask for a direct connection to the element and it will show you all the ways you interact with it on a daily basis. You'll be surprised how often you'll get an shot of insight while doing a seemingly mundane task once you've established your connection. Oh! Speaking of connections, I recently was invited to write about connecting with Libra in it's context of the air or mental realm. This exploration gave me the opportunity to practice what I preach with a trip to the laundromat! When you download The Magickal Pathway you can read my contribution as well as many other women sharing their wisdom of the season! 2. The elements always take me to my next level of personal and spiritual growth. I've often talked about this and it still remains one of the most compelling and engaging reasons I continue to work with the elements when other tools i once found valuable faded away. In my experience, working with the elements got me ready to receive the idea in a way that made it doable for me. Through my journal practice and weekly oracle readings, I had prepared the ground in my inner world clearing away the rocks of self doubt and the roots of outdated beliefs so the seed of this idea could take root. 3. I often access deeper levels of my own wisdom and act on that wisdom quicker. What I've noticed is that when I have a deep insight, it is usually something very simple that doesn't require a lot of prep work to implement. Take for example toe 100 People Project I mentioned above. I was contemplating ways to deepen my connection with the people in my orbit and find out how I could be of better service to them. I asked for elemental guidance on how to do that and within a few days the idea of talking for 30 minutes via Skype or phone call came via someone's Facebook status! A simple idea right? At first I filed it away for 'someday' when I got more systems in place and a few weeks past but with the guidance of my personal weekly Elemental Forces of Creation Oracle reading, Fire kept telling me to 'Move' and I did. What I've learned about myself is I default into thinking a thing has to be hard for it to be of value when building Goddess Tea House but that's not true at all. Going deeper I began to look into other areas of my life where I made the actions harder than they needed to be in order to 'prove' the actions valuable to myself which led to another question...how can taking action for myself be filled with more grace and ease? One of the dreams I have for myself in 2015 is to get in balance with body movement and rest. I had already started that process last year with my weekly yoga practice and I knew I wanted to kick it up a notch. I decided to participate in a 5K. I did a little research and discovered with a little training I "should" have been able to walk the 5K/3.1 miles in a little under an hour. I found a training program I could follow as I had 8 weeks (at the time) until the event. One of the things I learned from trainning that I'm now applying to everything is that I get to choose the pace that I move at and what ever pace I choose is perfect for me. The first few weeks, I called on elemental support via the Elemental Forces of Creation Oracle to clear out anything that was holding me back from participating; thoughts like "how am I possibly going o go from a sedintary lifestyle to walking a 5k in only 8 weeks, what's the point in doing this when I haven't been able to maintain a regular exercise program in the past, I'm too overweight to even think about walking a 5k let alone finishing one!
Through journaling I cleared the energy and again connected with the elements to direct the forces of creation toward what I wanted to happen (in this case finishing the 5K in an hour or less) One of the lessons that kept coming up week after week was from the Water card 'Pace". Water teaches us about pace from it's babbling brooks to it mighty waterfalls and everything in between. During my personal trainning times, I learned to set my own pace. I wasn't in competition with anyone else who happened to be out that day...it was totally about me. Yet at the actual event I was really tempted to compare my pace to that of others who were there. I had to keep reminding myself that the pace I was setting was the best for me. If I'd tried to keep someone else's pace I could have pushed myself too hard or even injured myself. During the course of the 5K I had to keep telling myself over and over set your own pace. This is also important to remember in other areas of life when I start comparing where I'm at with how much farther along it seems someone else is in business, financal, schooling, creative output or any other area it's because their pace is different from mine. Shift my focus from copying their pace to trainning myself up to a faster pace. I'm only hurting myself by moving at someone else pace. Today I invite you to look at your goals and dreams and consider the following. When two people are walking together, one person will naturally fall into the other person's pace. So my question for you is....are you setting your pace or is someone else controling your race? With Love, Dionne |
