This is my favorite season filled with celebrations just to celebrate. The last weekend in September was the fall festival in the town where I live. Local crafters and businesses sharing their goodies while local musicians provide the background music. This is the perfect place to practice shopping locally. My son got into the spirit using his own money to play game, one of which he won. He is now the proud owner of three goldfish.
We've been the proud owners of goldfish before but have been less than successful keeping them alive for more than a month or two. This time I've decided to improve my track record and learn all I can about the care and keeping. Among the many things I've learned one thing in particular stands out for me as I'm writing you today. Goldfish enjoy regular periods of being in the dark. Besides being an absences of light I'm sure you know this also can mean not knowing all the steps in a project. While homeschooling my son I feel as though I am in the dark ALOT. I know what I intend to have happen for him but I have to learn and relearn to step back and allow his spirit to guide each lesson to be what he needs.
As I move Goddess Tea House forward I'm working on being more comfortable with being in the dark as well not knowing the end result of everything before I make a move forward. In both of these instances I of course set the intention of what I want it to look like but I have to trust and allow Goddess to move through me to bring everything to light in brighter and shiner ways than I can imagine. And when I feel as though I'm in the dark I'll just put on some yarn hair for extra comfort until I can see which way to go again. It tough and scary. And it's also a big part of being a priestess.
