![]() As you can probably guess, my spiritual is based on my belief in Goddess. That isn't to say that I don't believe in God, it just means on this part of my journey, I choose to honor and connect with Goddess and the divine feminine flow of energy within me and around me. It's a journey I've been on for nearly 15 years that culminated in my ordination as Priestess over 3 years ago. Even back then I wasn't really sure what I was getting into but I knew without a shadow of a doubt it was something I needed to do and I wanted to do something tangible to mark my dedication. So I got a tattoo designed by a friend and sister priestess. But what's the deal with being a priestess and why does it matter? The dictionary definition is "a woman who offciates sacred rites" and yes that is certainly something I do, but for me, being a priestess is so much more. I chose to undergo train and initiation to activate the Priestess archetype within me to deepen my connect to Goddess so I could show up as her emissary and speak with her words in the world. I want to be clear here that Goddess speaks through me but my way of connecting with her is not the only way. Here's the Big DealBecoming a priestess has definitely had an impact on the relationships in my life. With my husband,
being a Priestess has helped me clear away self depreciating relational patterns while strengthening our bonds. In relationship to my children it has helped me to give them the tools they need to grow into the beings they were meant to be. And as I friend my Priestessing has helped me develop deeper listening skills and the ability to help them reframe (see situations from a different perspective). This has truly been a gift for me and one I enjoy giving my clients as well. Becoming a Priestess has increased my ability to respond and work with the rhythms and cycles of nature to bring my creations into the world. I continually "work" (which often feels more like play) to respond to the calling of my spirit and take personal responsibility for how I am showing up in the world. Women who choose to show up as a Priestess in their lives and businesses have the power to change the world. I see women working very hard to change the world around them in huge and small ways. I look at these women are Priestesses showing me by their stories and work ways I can change my world. And I'm showing up in the hopes of helping someone else change their world too.
